Daily Challenges & Streaks

A new target every day, and why keeping the streak alive is worth the habit.

What the daily set is

Every day, JBay Wave Rider generates a fresh target for you to hit during a run — typically a coin count, a score threshold, or a combo tier. It's shown on the Daily Set screen, accessible from the start menu, and resets to a new target the next day whether or not you clear it.

Why check it before you play

Knowing today's specific target changes how you should approach the run. A coin-count target rewards a coin-magnet-first approach from our power-ups guide, while a combo-tier target rewards the near-miss hunting described in our tips and strategies guide. Playing without checking the target first often means accidentally optimizing for the wrong thing.

Streaks

Clearing the daily set and returning the next day to clear it again builds a streak counter, visible on the start screen. The streak is a simple, visible incentive to come back daily rather than in occasional long sessions — and several entries in our achievements guide are tied directly to streak length.

What happens if you miss a day

Missing a day resets the streak counter back to the start. There's no partial credit or streak-freeze mechanic — the system is intentionally simple, which is also what makes the counter meaningful once it gets long.

Getting the most from the daily set

Because the target changes every day, it's worth treating the daily set as a short warm-up run rather than your main session — clear it early, then move on to chasing your overall high score or working through the board rack for the rest of your playtime.
