Playing JBay Wave Rider on iPhone

No App Store needed — here's how to get the smoothest experience in Safari.

Paddle Out & Play Free →

Just open it in Safari

JBay Wave Rider needs nothing beyond Safari (or Chrome, if you prefer it) on iOS. Visit the site, tap Paddle Out, and the game loads directly — there's no App Store listing, no install step, and no account to create.

Add it to your home screen

For one-tap access that feels closer to a native app, open the site in Safari, tap the Share icon, and choose Add to Home Screen. This creates an icon that launches straight into the game in full-screen mode, without Safari's address bar taking up screen space.

Controls on iPhone

Tap anywhere on the screen to trick over low obstacles, and swipe up or down to move between the three lines of the wave. Full mechanics are covered in our how to play guide.

Orientation and screen fit

The game is designed to fill the screen edge-to-edge on iPhone, including around the notch or Dynamic Island, so you get the full playing field regardless of iPhone model.

Progress saving on iPhone

Your high score, coins, and unlocked boards save locally in Safari's storage on your device. If you use Low Power Mode or regularly clear Safari's website data, be aware that clearing site data will reset your saved progress.
